Treatment of extreme tooth wear and an opposing denture
This patient was unhappy with her denture both in appearance and how she chewed with it. The case was a failure because there was no correction of deteriorated conditions to a normal relationship before building the denture. Porcelain veneers and a new removable partial denture raised the length of the lower teeth to normal. The new denture was set in a more natural arrangement with teeth that were in proportion to her face. The result was better more comfortable chewing and a natural esthetic smile, thus a successful case.
